| Public funding is
not sufficient to provide quality of services and necessary equipment
for persons with developmental disabilities to pursue a meaningful
life and live in their own homes. The individuals that we support
live on very low fixed incomes. This does not provide the possibility
to pay or save for needed adaptations, medical supplies, home modifications
etc. Our agency must be aggressive in the area of raising monies
to assist people to acquire necessary items to live successfully in
the community.
